Psychopathology of child and adolescent development department
Dedicated to the care and support of child psychiatry in complex situations (level 3), this service is made up of 4 functional units, oriented towards the assessment and comprehensive and multidisciplinary care of behavioral and regulation emotions disorders of children and adolescents (children under 16).
Research themes
Professor of psychiatry – child & adolescent option – at the Lyon Est Faculty of Medicine (Claude Bernard University Lyon 1), the scientific work of Dr Pierre Fourneret falls within the field of cognitive and developmental neuroscience. After a Ph.D in neuropsychology devoted to disorders of self-awareness in psychiatric and neurological pathologies, his interest focused on neurodevelopmental disorders in children and adolescents (learning disorders, language disorders oral, ADHD and ASD). Co-director of the master 2 in philosophy Culture & Health (Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 & UCB Lyon I), he is also interested in the epistemology of medical sciences and child psychiatry in particular. He is also local and regional coordinator of university teaching in the child psychiatry option.
Head of the Child and Adolescent Development Psychopathology department at the Women’s Mother’s Child Hospital (Hospices Civils de Lyon), he ultimately coordinates the animation of the regional Task Force in perinatal psychiatry which carries out a basic project regional data via the FondaMental® foundation dedicated to promote clinical and fundamental research in perinatal care.
